HOW WE OPERATE
Matrix Psychology Services began just prior to 2000. We have always been a rural-remote based practice operating in the beautiful far North East region of Victoria. Since our beginning we have worked with an incredible range of people and organisations in the public and private sectors. Our core values are linked to providing professional compassionate services to meet the individual needs of each of our Clients. Over the last 25 years plus, we have continued to evolve and grow to meet those Client needs. Nowadays, we are a predominantly tele-health based practice. As such we are not a crisis service, though we will always work with our Clients to advocate and support them as required.
INTAKE PROCESS
We try and keep things simple. When making contact for the first time, we will arrange an initial phone consultation to discuss our processes and clarify any issues you may have. There is a consent form that we ask each Client to complete prior to attending their first appointment. If you could print, sign and email a copy back to the Psychologist you are scheduled to see, either before or at the commencement of your first appointment, we can then begin our sessions. If you have any questions about the form please make sure we cover them in the first scheduled appointment.
For your information, there is a Medicare rebate associated with a GP Mental Health Plan made available when seeing a Psychologist. The vast majority of Clients now seek such a plan from their Doctor prior to commencing appointments. We are registered providers also for Workcover, TAC, NDIS and Victims of Crime as well as private insurers.
FEES
A standard 50 minute consultqtion will cost $200. The current medicare rebate to see a registered psychologist under a GP Mental Health Plan is $98.95.
TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
Please call or email Michelle or Greg if you'd like to schedule an appointment. Once an appointment is scheduled, the Psychologist will email the consent form for you to complete and return via email prior to commencing therapy.
A range of assessment forms may also be provided at commencement and/or during therapy.
